This is a spinoff series of "NCIS". All four major cast members appeared on the NCIS episodes titled, "Crescent City - Part 1 (3/25/2014)" and "Crescent City - Part 2 (4/1/2014)".

You might be wondering why the pilots were titled "Crescent City". That's simply one of several nicknames for New Orleans where the series is set. Other nicknames include the better known "Big Easy" and "The City that Care Forgot".

NCIS is an acronym that stands for "Naval Criminal Investigative Service".
