When God made me he broke all the rules

I rock all day, I roll all night
You wish you were me, you know I'm right

And that's Shannon my beauty queen
the finest girl I have ever seen

We ain't your next door family

Gene Simmons: Family Jewels Trivia:

For the first two seasons, Gene Simmons: Family Jewels was only second in the ratings on A&E to another one of their reality series, "Dog the Bounty Hunter".

Just in case you are one of the few people who don't know who Gene Simmons is, he's the base guitarist, lead vocalist, and co-founder of the rock group "KISS". If you've ever played the video game, "Guitar Hero", you are most likely familiar with KISS's hit tune, "Rock and Roll All Nite"! As a kid Gene was enamored with comic book super heroes, monster movies, and rock and roll music so it's no wonder that he ended out as the costumed, somewhat scary-looking rock star. Before he became a rock legend, Gene worked as an elementary school teacher. He lived with another singing legend named "Cher" ("Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour") for several years and says that he's had intimate relations with more than 4,600 women! Is that even survivable?

Gene won $500,000 for his charity, "The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation" by being a contestant on "Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader". After dropping out he tried the million dollar question and missed it so it's good he knew when to quit! Gene also won $20,000 for the same charity when he won a task as the team leader on "The Celebrity Apprentice".

Shannon Tweed was the Playboy Playmate of the Month in November of 1981. She was Playmate of the Year in 1982. She got her shot to become a Playmate by appearing on a Canadian TV show called, "Thrill of a Lifetime". The show granted wishes to its guests and Shannon's wish was to appear in Playboy.

Gene Simmons has appeared on screen without his Kiss makeup many times besides those on this series and on Celebrity Apprentice. From 1984-1995 he never wore the makeup. He has also appeared as frightening characters in the films, "Runaway (1984)", "Dead or Alive (1986)", and "Red Surf (1990)". He's also appeared as a guest star on several TV series including "Miami Vice", "Millennium", and "Third Watch". He's even provided voices for characters on episodes of "Spongebob Squarepants" and "King of the Hill" and provided the voice as himself on "Robot Chicken", "Family Guy", and others.

Gene has also written music for numerous TV shows and video games. He even wrote a couple of scripts for a couple of shows and produced a couple of others.

Gene Simmons is a pretty tall guy at 6 feet 2 inches tall but his son Nick towers over him at 6 feet 8 inches! Nick also wears a whopping size 16 shoe!

Shannon's sister Tracy Tweed was married for a very short amount of time to Diana Ross' brother Chico. Gene Simmons once dated Diana Ross.
