Cary Maxwell's detective agency was called, "Maxwell Unlimited".

The Finder of Lost Loves tv show was in one way similar to the classic hit series, "The Love Boat" in that popular TV stars from other series appeared as guest stars each week. Fans loved seeing their favorite stars in a different type of role! Some of the most popular guest stars included Melissa Sue Anderson ("Little House on the Prairie"), Tom Bosley ("Happy Days"), Joyce DeWitt ("Three's Company"), Buddy Ebsen ("The Beverly Hillbillies"), Florence Henderson and Robert Reed from "The Brady Bunch" and Dick Sargent ("Bewitched").

Maxwell's wife died and he missed her dearly. That's what inspired him to specialize in finding former romantic interests for his clients.
