Automan also went by the name of "Otto J. Man" on occasion. Walter and Automan also got help from a droid that could float in the air and manufacture any item that Automan needed to assist him in capturing criminals. Contrary to popular belief, Desi Arnaz Jr. did not play the role of "Little Ricky" on his parents' TV series, "I Love Lucy". He did appear briefly on just one episode titled, "The Ricardos Dedicate a Statue", however, where he was just in the crowd at the unveiling of a statue. Desi did get a little taste of fame early in his life, however. In 1953 he and his legendary mom, Lucille Ball, appeared on the front page of the very first issue of TV Guide Magazine! Automan is the only television show to have used a Lamborghini Countach as the vehicle that the hero drove. Automan would make dramatic turns at high speed and, being a computer simulation, he wouldn't be affected by them at all but his human passengers get tossed all around inside the car! In addition to his role as Jack Curtis on Automan, Robert Lansing also starred on the series "87th Precinct", "Kung Fu: The Legend Continues", and "The Man Who Never Was".
