Series Description

The Getting By TV show was a 30 minute comedy series that aired on ABC for its first season of twelve episodes and then on NBC for a second season of nineteen more episodes. It was about a black mom named Dolores and a white mom named Cathy who worked together as social workers. They decided to become roommates (along with their four kids) in order to save money on living expenses. Could two adults with extremely different personalities live together, work together, and raise kids together without becoming mortal enemies?
