Series Description

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition was a 60 minute reality series on ABC where needy and deserving families got their often nearly condemned homes replaced with brand new beautiful homes complete with new furnishings, appliances, etc. The families were sent away on a dream vacation for a week. When they returned, their entire neighborhood, family, and friends were packed behind a bus that obstructed the view of their new home. When the lucky family returned to the cheers of the crowd, Ty Pennington (The Host) said, "Move that bus!" and the family's dream home was revealed. It was very heartwarming to see their tears of joy as they saw the exterior and then toured the interior and backyard with the cast.
