Series Description

The A Different World TV show was a 30 minute situation comedy series on NBC that was a "spin-off" of "The Cosby Show" with Denise Huxtable (Lisa Bonet) goes off to college. At the end of the first season, Denise drops out of college and off of the series. It is explained that she returned home. The show continued emphasizing new characters. Its theme covered the subjects you'd expect of a college series ... dating, dealing with parents and teachers, etc. Racism was also often explored.
