Series Description:

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip was a 60 minute comedy, drama series on NBC that showed the "behind the scenes" interactions of the cast and crew of a popular, late-night comedy sketch show, similar to Saturday Night Live.

Studio 60 Trivia:

Matthew Perry turned down the role as Matthew Albie when NBC first offered to him. Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip creator, "Aaron Sorkin" wanted Perry and only Perry for the role so he refused to give up and eventually convinced Perry to take the job.

The title of the series was originally "Studio 7 on the Sunset Strip" but it was changed to Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip prior to the first episode being broadcast.
