Series Description

The Sleepy Hollow TV show is a 60 minute fantasy/horror series on FOX about Ichabod Crane who was ordered by General George Washington to kill a man so Ichabod shot him and then chopped off his head and then dies himself. Over 230 years later, Ichabod rises from the grave and so does the man he beheaded, "The Headless Horseman". Soon people start showing up dead with their heads chopped off. Ichabod teams up with Lieutenant Abbie Mills of the Sleepy Hollow Police Department to find a way to stop the evil that threatens the town.

Sleepy Hollow Trivia

This series is a modernized version of the 1820 short story by Washington Irving titled, "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow".

The setting for the show is in Sleepy Hollow, New York which is a real life town but not nearly as large as it is shown to be on the show.

The headless horseman is a man who "lives" without a head. It's revealed that he is the first of the four horsemen of the apocalypse from the bible. He represents death.

While this is a graphic horror series, the reaction that Ichabod has to life in the 21st century often provides a bit of comic relief. For example, he asks Lieutenant Mills who is black whether she has been freed from slavery. She responds that she has a gun and is authorized to shoot him.
