Series Description

Sister Sister was a 30 minute comedy series on ABC for its first two seasons and on the WB (now the CW Network) thereafter. It was about two sisters who had been separated at birth and adopted by two different families and then found each other at age 14.

Sister Sister Trivia

The sisters were adopted into two radically different lifestyles. Tia grew up in downtown Detroit, Michigan with an adoptive mother who got occasional work as a seamstress. Tamera's family lived in the suburbs with a very well-off family who owned a successful limousine service business.

The Sister, Sister TV show's time slot was changed a whopping 14 times during its run.

In October of 1997, Tahj Mowry, Tamera and Tia's real-life kid brother appeared on the show as an S.A.T. tutor. He appeared in his role of T.J. Henderson on his new series, "Smart Guy". That was a little awkward as "Smart Guy" was set in Washington, D.C. and "Sister, Sister" was set in Detroit.

In February of 1998, the girls finally met their birth father who turned out to be a famous photographer.

To wrap things up for the series, in the last episode Tia was planning to go to New York City after getting an internship with the WNBA, Tamera was heading to Africa to spend the summer with the girls' birth father, Lisa got married, and Ray was moving to Lansing to work for the Governor of Michigan.
