The Sanctuary TV show is a 60 minute Canadian fantasy series that premiered on October 3, 2008 on Syfy. It's about a world where genetics, cloning and other techniques have led to the creation of people referred to as "Abnormals" who possess unusual powers and abilities. A 160-year-old scientist named Dr. Helen Magnus forms an organization called "Sanctuary" in order to help, protect and study them while most others simply fear them.
