The Roy Rogers Show was a 30 minute western action series on NBC about a 1950's cowboy, his wife, their friends and their horses. They lived their lives on the Double R Ranch when they weren't out fighting bad guys. Roy Rogers' horse "Trigger" and dog "Bullet" would often rescue one of the actors from peril. Trigger was known as the "Smartest Horse In The Movies".

It's the way you ride the trail that counts,
Happy trails to you,
Who cares about the clouds when we'ere together?
Happy trails to you, Roy Rogers Show Trivia:
Roy guest-starred on an episode of, "Wonder Woman" titled, "Bushwackers" that aired on January 29, 1977. He told that show's producers that he wouldn't appear on the show unless Linda Carter (who played Wonder Woman) wore more clothes than she normally wore on the show! They must have really wanted Roy to appear badly because Linda wore a top with sleeves and pants for that episode! Roy and Dale's ranch was the "Double 'R' Ranch". After the series ended on NBC's Sunday prime time lineup, it returned on CBS in reruns from 1961 to 1964. There was also a Roy Rogers Show on the radio for approximately 348 episodes beginning in 1944. That series ran until July of 1955, overlapping four seasons with the TV series!
After a career spanning nearly 100 movies and 100 episodes of his TV show, Roy Rogers "semi" retired from show business. His last appearance was on an episode of, "The Fall Guy" titled, "King of the Cowboys". It was broadcast on February 29, 1984. Roy was 72-years-old.
Opening Narrative:"Roy Rogers, King of the Cowboys. Trigger, his golden palomino. And Dale Evans, queen of the West. With Pat Brady, their comical sidekick. And Roy's wonder dog, Bullet."
