The Raising Hope TV show is a 30 minute comedy series that premiered on September 21, 2010 on the FOX Network about a guy in his mid-twenties named Jimmy who hasn't made any progress toward adulthood. He still lives at home with mommy, daddy and grandma. He works as a poolboy and parties every night until the wee hours of the morning. One of those nights he had a one night stand that resulted in his becoming a father. When the babie's mother gets caught by the police for a felony crime she had previously committed and gets a sentence of life in prison, Jimmy became a single dad overnight. Jimmy's family have no interest in helping him raise a baby and aren't even happy about the child becoming a part of their household. Will Jimmy grow up and be a good father? Will his disfunctional family get in the way?

Raising Hope Trivia:

Skyler Stone appeared in the pilot as Jimmy's cousin Mike but was replaced by Kate Micucci in a recurring role as Jimmy's female cousin.

The title of the pilot was "Keep Hope Alive" but that sounded a bit gruesome so the series' title was changed to Raising Hope.

Fox announced on May 17, 2010 that the series title was being changed and that it would be premiering in the fall. The first episode aired on September 21, 2010.
