Series Description:

The Police Story TV show was a police anthology action series that featured current stars in the lead roles. A different star would appear each episode (with many occasionally recurring). Due to the show not depending on the return of the star on the next episode, the lead role could even be killed off! This helped make the show different from other cop series in that you never knew what to expect!

Trivia:

There were three "spin-offs" from this show. They were: "Police Woman", "Joe Forrester", and "David Cassidy, Man Undercover". Police Woman was introduced in episode #21, "The Gamble". Joe Forrester in episode #43, "The Return Of Joe Forrester ". David Cassidy, Man Undercover in the Police Story reunion movie titled, "A Chance to Live".

Some of the guest stars who appeared on Police Story were: Frankie Avalon, Jim Backus, LLoyd Bridges, David Cassidy, Angie Dickinson, Patty Duke, Shelley Fabares, John Forsythe, June Lockhart, Tim Matheson, Darren McGavin, Smokey Robinson, Kurt Russell, Robert Stack, Sylvester Stallone, etc. Pretty much the same crowd that was guest-starring on, "The Love Boat".
