Series Description:

The Payne TV show was a 30 minute comedy series on CBS. It was an attempt to "Americanize" the hit British series, "Fawlty Towers". Royal and Connie Payne were a married couple who operated the "Whispering Pines Hotel" in California. Their staff were a bunch of goofy characters just like on Fawlty Towers but the series was no where near as entertaining.
