The Opposite Sex TV show was a 60 minute dramatic comedy series on the FOX Network about a recently widowed dad who moves to Northern California with his teenage son. The boy finds himself going to the prestigious Evergreen Academy but it was questionable whether or not that would be a good thing. You see ... up until the previous school year, the school had been called the Evergreen Academy for Girls! Fifteen year old Jed Perry found himself confused as only one of three male students with hundreds of girls, many of which aren't happy about the change to co-ed status.

The Opposite Sex Trivia:

Milo played the part of a 15-year-old teenager on The Opposite Sex was actually nearly 23 years old when the first episode aired. A couple of Milo's better known roles include that as Chris Pierce on "American Dreams", Jess Mariano on "The Gilmore Girls" and Peter Petrelli on "Heroes".

The Opposite Sex was originally slated for the 1999-2000 season. The episodes were actually filmed in early 1999 but when September rolled around, for some reason the series was not on Fox's schedule.

Critics didn't have much of anything good to say about The Opposite Sex after viewing its premiere episode. Criticisms included the belief that relationships between the characters were not sufficiently developed and that teenage audiences therefore would have trouble identifying with them.

It's believed that Fox originally ordered 13 episodes of The Opposite Sex but it's not been disclosed (as of 2010) whether the last four episodes were filmed either partially or fully.
