Series Description:

The O.C. TV Show was a 60 minute drama series from the Fox network about a troubled, street-wise, teenage boy (Ryan Atwood) with a police record who was thrust into the upper-class world of Newport Beach, California. But the world of the wealthy had its problems too and one of them was not being accepting of those who are different. So will Ryan ever be able to make a life for himself among the people of the O.C.?

The O.C. TV Show Trivia:

O.C. are initials that stand for "Orange County".

The O.C. was actually shot at Raleigh Studios in Manhattan Beach which is 40 miles from Newport Beach. This was done by FOX in order to avoid the high salaries for crew members required by the union inside Los Angeles County.

Benjamin McKenzie had to change his name from "Benjamin McKenzie Schenkkan" because there was already another actor in the Screen Actor's Guild with the name Ben Schenkman and fans would most definitely have gotten confused with two such similar names in the credits. Talk about bad timing! Ben moved to New York City a mere three weeks before the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks!

Whenever you see anyone in the Cohen's pool, they are on their knees! This is necessary because the pool is actually only 4 feet deep!

The O.C. TV show character, "Sandy Cohen" (Peter Gallagher of "The Secret Lives of Men") came in at #25 in the June 20, 2004 issue of TV Guide's "50 Greatest TV Dads of All Time" list!

Chad Michael Murray turned the FOX Network down for a role on the O.C. in order to accept his role as Lucas on the WB series, "One Tree Hill".

During season 1, Summer Roberts was credited as a guest star for the first half of season one even though she had been in every single episode. Luke Ward (Chris Carmack) and Jimmy Cooper (Tate Donovan) were, at the same time, credited as regular cast members even though neither one of them had appeared in every episode!
