Trivia

The Misadventures of Sheriff Lobo TV show was a spin-off series of "B.J. and the Bear".

The Misadventures of Sheriff Lobo may have been just a bit too long for a title so it was changed to simply, "Lobo" for the second season.

Deputy Hawkins was college-educated and, therefore, the least stupid member of Sheriff Lobo's team. He wasn't smart enough to see through Lobo's schemes though. He believed that the Sheriff was 100% honest throughout the entire series despite all evidence to the contrary.

If you never saw the Misadventures of Sheriff Lobo, you may still know Claude Akins from his role as "Sonny Pruett" on the TV series, "Movin' On".

Lobo didn't stray too far from B.J. and the Bear's plotlines. There were lots of car crashes and beautiful young women in skimpy clothing on each episode.

The Misadventures of Sheriff Lobo had some decent competition during its run. In the first season, ABC had "Happy Days" and "Angie" in the same time slot. The competition got even worse in the second season when ABC replaced "Angie" with "Laverne and Shirley"!
