Series description:The LOST TV show is a 60 minute mystery drama series on ABC about 48 survivors of an airplane crash on an island. Stange happenings take place on the island and there appears to be a huge creature of some kind living there and a French woman who has been there for many years who seems to know what is happening on the island but won't talk about it. LOST also takes us back to look at the series of events that lead to the survivors being on the airplane. There's a former rock star who's also a drug addict, a doctor, an Iraqi military veteran, a convicted murderor, a lottery winner, a recently reunited father and his son, a young woman and her half-brother who loves her, and many other interesting characters. One of them was confined to a wheelchair before the accident and can conveniently walk after arriving on the island!LOST TV Show Cast:Matthew Fox ................. Kim is a very common name in Korea, similar to Smith in the States. The first season of LOST covered approximately the first 40 days for the castaways on the island. When you saw Charlie snorting drugs on the show, it was actually just brown sugar. The roles for Jin and Sun were added after Yun-jin Kim auditioned for the role of Kate. The producers didn't feel she was right for that part but liked her so much that they added the role of Sun and her husband Jin. Originally, Jack was supposed to die in the pilot episodes and the series' creators talked about casting Michael Keaton in the role. LOST's island scenes are filmed in Hawaii. The plane wreckage on the beach scenes at Mokulė`ia and many other scenes are shot in Ka`a`awa Valley. Through the first season, filming also took place in Los Angeles, Burbank, and San Fernando, California ... Other miscellaneous locations on O`ahu ... and Sydney, Australia. There was only one of the main Lost cast members that didn't have to audition for his role. Terry O'Quinn (John Locke) had previously worked with J.J. Abrams who is one of the creators of Lost. J.J. also is an executive producer, writer, and director on Lost. Anyway ... Terry O'Quinn played "F.B.I. Assistant Director Kendall" on the series, "Alias" on nearly twenty episodes and J.J. also created that series. Charlie was originally supposed to be an aging, worn-out rock star. But when producers saw Dominic Monaghan's audition, they decided to re-write the part as a younger, more recent rock star. Ian Somerhalder, whose character "Boone Carlyle" got killed off in the first season, began a successful modeling career at age 10. He worked for such fashion icons as Guess, Calvin Klein, Versace, Gucci, and Dolce & Gabanna. He doesn't like to talk about though because people tend to think of models as all looks and no talent. Not a good recipe for an acting career. John Locke was named after an English philosopher of the same name. Danielle Rousseau (the French woman who made the automated distress recording) was named for a French philosopher (Jean Jacques Rousseau). Both philosopher expounded beliefs that man is better off without society. Interesting that LOST removed those characters from society! Walt Lloyd's dog on the show (Vincent) is actually a female. Her real name is Madison and she is a Yellow Labrador Retriever.
