The Inbetweeners Cast

Series Description:

The Inbetweeners is a 30 minute comedy series on MTV about four buddies who are just your typical high school students but want badly to become a part of the popular crowd, especially where it comes to getting girls. Unfortunately, regardless of how hard they try, they're seldom up to the task. They're not exactly nerds but they're also unlikely to ever become a part of the cool crowd.

The Inbetweeners Cast:

Bubba Lewis .................... Simon Cooper
Zack Pearlman .................. Jay Cartwright
Joey Pollari ................... Will McKenzie
Alex Frnka ..................... Carly D'Amato
Mark L. Young .................. Neil Sutherland
Christine Scott Bennett ........ Polly Mackenzie
Wendy Bell ..................... Mrs. Peeler

The Inbetweeners Trivia:

This TV series is based on a 2008 British series also titled, "The Inbetweeners".

ABC actually tried to produce an Americanized version of The Inbetweeners back in 2008 but it never made it to the air.

MTV hired American writer Brad Copeland to Americanise the series in 2010. This new version is generally criticised by critics in the United Kingdom as having lost the British flavor of humor that the original series had and they also often comment that it's been "dumbed down" for an American audience. This has always been a problem when translating British comedies for American audiences. While there have been huge successes like "The Office", they are rare. It's ironic that Americans often give the same criticism of British TV comedies as being "stupid" comedy. It's most likely just a cultural thing and we're unlikely to ever agree from one side of the Atlantic to the other.

Someone must have faith that the U.S. version will do well. On July 3, 2012 there was an announcement that an Americanised version of The Inbetweeners movie has the green light to go ahead for production.
