The Gilmore Girls Trivia

The Gilmore Girls' theme song titled, "Where You Lead," is sung by Carole King and her daughter. It is one of the songs on Carol's album "Tapestry".

Lauren Graham has a Master's Degree in "Acting". Her parents divorced when she was five years old. Her mother left to (unsuccessfully) pursue a career as a singer. Lauren was raised by her father who was President of the Chocolate Manufacturer's Association. She wanted to be a jockey but she was too tall at 5 foot 9 inches. She got her first paid acting job while in high school by doing a "Planned Parenthood" video.

The Gilmore Girls was Lauren Graham's fourth shot at a TV series. Before the Gilmore Girls, she also had starring roles on "Conrad Bloom", "Good Company", and "Townies". Unfortunately, none of those ran for more than ten episodes! The seven season run of the Gilmore Girls definitely was worth working for though!

The complete town of Stars Hollow, Connecticut was built on Warner Brothers Studios lot!

Alexis Bledel started acting in community theater at 8 years old to get over her shyness probably somewhat due to the fact that English was not her first language. Her mother is Mexican and her father is Argentinian. She had to learn English in school. She switched to modelling in high school and traveled all over the world on assignments. She is a graduate of "Page Parkes Center of Modeling and Acting". She was first cast on television as "Rory" on the Gilmore Girls TV show.

The Gilmore Girls had just one major competitor in its time slot when it first premiered on the WB Network. NBC was running their hit comedy series, "Friends" during the Gilmore Girls first half-hour!

The mountain you've seen on some of the Gilmore Girls TV show episodes is "Mount Hollywood".

Melissa McCarthy and Jared Padalecki were not the first choices to play their roles on the Gilmore Girls TV show. Alex Borstein was originally cast to play Sookie St. James and Nathan Wetherington was originally cast to play Dean Forester.

Jared Padalecki was a guest star during the first season of the Gilmore Girls and became one of the regular Cast in the second season. Jared is 6 feet 2 inches tall. He began his acting career at age 12 and went on after the Gilmore Girls to star on the series, "Supernatural".

The Gilmore Girls Theme Song

Title: "Where You Lead"

Written By: "Carole King and Toni Stern"

Performed By: "Carole King and Louise Goffin"

If you're out on the road
Feeling lonely, and so cold
All you have to do is call my name
And I'll be there on the next train

Where you lead, I will follow
Anywhere that you tell me to
If you need, you need me to be with you
I will follow ...

Where you lead, I will follow
Any (anywhere) that you tell me to
If you need, you need me to be with you
I will follow where you lead.
