Falcon Crest

Falcon Crest Cast

Series Description

The Falcon Crest TV show was a 60 minute prime-time soap opera drama series on CBS about two vineyard owning families in California that are vicious enemies. One family is led by Angela Channing (Jane Wyman) and the other by her nephew Chase Gioberti (Robert Foxworth). Angela's Falcon Crest vineyards were huge but it wasn't enough to satisfy her greed. She felt that Chase should not have inherited his small 50 acres of vineyards from her brother. She wanted that too! Chase, on the other hand, was a wonderfull person who went out of his way to protect others from his aunt's visious ways. In his position as a county supervisor, he was able to stop her many schemes to ruin other people's lives to enrich herself. Of course, that just made her that much more determined to ruin Chase!

Falcon Crest Trivia

The Falcon Crest TV show aired immediately following the king of the prime-time soaps, "Dallas". Falcon Crest's plotline started out pretty similar to that of Dallas ... Rich, powerful people trying to own the biggest possible piece of the world and willing to do pretty much anything to get it. Instead of Dallas' oil millionaires, Falcon Crest's wealth came from the making of wine in the ficticious Tuscany Valley located near San Franciso, California.

By the third season, the plotlines got more complicated. An international syndicate called the "Cartel" was introduced. It was headed by a particularly evil leader who was trying to find WWII Nazi treasure that was buried on Falcon Crest land!

In the seventh season of Falcon Crest, another evil criminal organization called, "The Thirteen" appeared which wanted to destroy the entire global economy!

Jane Wyman was Ronald Reagan's first wife (before Nancy). She broke up with Ronnie after falling in love with actor "Lew Ayres". She is the mother of Maureen and Michael Reagan. She was a switchboard (telephone) operator before becoming an actress. She has the record for the longest kiss on film along with Regis Toomey in the film, "You're In The Army Now". The kiss lasted 3 minutes and 5 seconds. To say the least, her Falcon Crest character didn't do much kissing on the TV show.

Robert Foxworth was married to Elizabeth Montgomery for nearly 2 1/2 years (until her death). They had a very long time relationship prior to marriage, however, having lived together more than 20 years. Robert turned down the role of J.R. Ewing on "Dallas".

Susan Sullivan worked as a Playboy Bunny at one time. She recited Shakespeare as she served her customers. She had been a waitress previously and once stated, "I would rather show my legs and make sixty dollars a night instead of twenty."

Lorenzo Lamas' full name is "Lorenzo y de Santos Lamas". He is the son of Fernando Lamas and Arlene Dahl. He married fellow Falcon Crest cast member Abby Dalton's 17 year old daughter but the marriage didn't last too long. He has been married 4 times so far. He has 5 children from those marriages and has been accused of fathering another with Daphne Ashbrook, an actress who appeared on Falcon Crest. He has a commercial pilot's license and volunteers for an organization called, "Angel Flight". They give free air transportation to medical facilities for patients who can't afford to pay. He has a tatoo of a woman on a unicorn. He chose that tatoo because his father's favorite things are women and horses.
