Series Description

Face Off is a 60 minute competitive reality series on Syfy where special effects makeup artists compete to see who is the best at transforming their subjects into different people of different ages or even different creatures. The competition goes far beyond simple makeup with the use of advanced techniques including 3-D design and prosthetics.

Michael Westmore who has won nine Emmys and an Oscar for his achievements along with numerous other nominations as a makeup artist is the father of Face Off host McKenzie Westmore! Michael won the Oscar for his work on the 1985 film, "Mask". His Emmy wins were: One for the TV series, "Amazing Stories", two for "Star Trek: The Next Generation", two for "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine", one for "Star Trek: Voyager", one for the 1976 TV movie "Eleanor and Franklin", one for the 1984 TV movie "The Three Wishes of Billy Grier" and one for the 1984 TV movie "Why Me?".
