Series Description

Extreme Chef is a 30 minute competitive reality series on the Food Network that is a cooking competition with a bit of "Wipeout" thrown in for good measure. The competing chefs are required to run through obstacles both natural like swimming lakes and through manmade ones in order to get the equipment and ingredients they need in order to prepare their dishes. I guess that this was one of the few options for the Food Network if they wanted to feature a physical competitions series. Cooking doesn't really normally require a lot of physical activities after all. Each episode does eventually get around to the cooking competition though so those interested in a cooking show aren't totally left out.

Simon Majumdar is a renowned food critic and author who has also appeared on "The Best Thing I Ever Ate", "The Next Iron Chef" and "Iron Chef America: The Series".

Marsh Mokhtari has done some acting in addition to hosting several TV shows. You may have seen him during 2006 and 2007 on the daytime dramas "Passions" and "The Young and the Restless".
