Dream On TV Show Trivia:

Denny Dillon was the all-time shortest member of the "Saturday Night Live" cast at four feet 11 inches (1.5 Meters).

Did you ever wonder where the TV set that goes to a screen full of static at the beginning of all HBO series came from? Well, it appeared in the opening credits of Dream On for the first time.

Wendie Malick won Cable Ace Awards in 1992, 93, 94 and 95 for "Best Actress in a Comedy Series"! The show also got one for "Best Comedy Series" in 1992.

Series' creator, John Landis asked Universal Studios for permission to use clips from their old TV shows and films to make a new TV series. After receiving the go-ahead, he asked writers David Crane and Marta Kauffman to come up with a storyline that could make use of the old film. They decided that having a guy pursuing women and failing miserably would allow them to use clips from old TV shows and movies as metaphors for what he was "Dreaming of"; hence the title of the series, "Dream On".
