Clueless

Clueless Cast

Series Description

Clueless was a 30 minute comedy series that aired on ABC for the first season and then on UPN (now the CW Network) for the second and third seasons for a total of 62 episodes from 1996-1999. It was inspired by a movie also titled, "Clueless" that starred Alicia Silverstone and premiered in theaters on July 19, 1995. They were both about a teenage girl who loved to shop, get her hair done, buy expensive clothes, and get pampered by her daddy. She was a nice, likeable girl but when it came to any of the responsibilities of life, she was totally clueless.

Clueless Theme Song

Title: "Ordinary Girl"

Written By: "Charlotte Caffey" and "Anna Waronker"

Performed By: "China Forbes"

She is literally the polaroid of perfection
She has everything,
And she'd give it to you in a second
Looks can decieve,
She wears her heart on her sleeve
She'll steal you away,
Not just for one day,
Everyday is an ordinary day,
In her world,
She's an ordinary girl

Clueless Trivia

Even though the 1995 Clueless movie starring Alicia Silverstone was released before the Clueless TV show began to air, the original idea was to develop a TV series.

Five of the Cast in the movie also appeared in the same roles on the Clueless TV show. They were Twink Caplan, Stacey Dash, Elisa Donovan, Donald Adeosun Faison, and Wallace Shawn.

Bill Kirchenbauer played the role as Coach Graham Bullock on the Clueless TV show. He played the role of Coach Graham Lubbock on "Growing Pains" and on "Just the Ten of Us". It was the same character except that the Bs and the Ls in the last name were reversed.

The Clueless TV show was nominated for a "Young Artist Award" for "Best Family TV Comedy Series" in 1997 but the series, "Nick Freno: Licensed Teacher" won. There were two other nominees: "Mr. Rhodes" and "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch".
