Brooklyn Bridge Trivia

Every attempt was made to make the Brooklyn Bridge TV show as realistic as possible. When the Brooklyn Dodgers baseball games were heard on the radio, it was actual broadcasts by long time Dodger announcer Vin Scully. The background music for the series was mostly hit rock 'n' roll tunes from the 1950s.

The Brooklyn Bridge TV show was created and produced by Gary David Goldberg who also created the hit comedy series, "Family Ties". The series was actually loosely based on Mr. Goldberg's youth in Brooklyn during the 1950s!

Brooklyn Bridge Theme Song

Title: "Just Over the Brooklyn Bridge"

Written By: "Marvin Hamlisch", "Alan Bergman", and "Marilyn Bergman"

Performed By: "Art Garfunkel"

A world of its own,
The streets where we played,
The friends on every corner were the best we ever made.
The backyards, and the school yards
And the trees that watched us grow,
The days of love when dinner time was all you had to know.

Whenever I think of yesterday,
I close my eyes and see,
That place Just Over The Brooklyn Bridge
That will always be home to me.
It'll always be home to me.
