You'll have to provide more information. Which episode(s) was that character featured on? What actor played the role? Etc.
I can't find any reference at any of my sources for a cast member, guest star, regular character, or guest character named Trunnell. |

Can anybody tell why the actor, Jordan Williams, that play V.J. Trundel never said a word? I have watched that episodes over & over and does not said a word.
It was in season 3, episode 21 & 22 Citizen Trundel, Harriet's sister is murdered on the orders of the wealthy white man who fathered her child.
What I have found was that the actor was not in the credits. He was uncredited. I guess because he did not have any lines in the show. |

I checked out his biography and other stuff I found about Jordan and didn't see anything that would explain why he wouldn't have been able to speak. I'm pretty sure that the actor's union requires considerably higher pay for a bit part if the actor has lines so maybe giving him none was a budget thing.
Strangely, early in his career Jordan did a lot of voiceover work.
Unfortunately, Jordan passed away from natural causes at the way too young age of 50! |

Parker is often seen with a Mason jar full of some kind of drink. I always thought it was sweet tea. I've been told it was soda. Anyone know for sure?
Thanks! |

I can't answer your question but here's the list of male guest stars who appeared on that episode:
Dan Biggers ............... Dr. Frank Robb
Jerry Campbell ........... Policeman
Stuart Culpepper ........ Reed Nicholson
Thom Gossom ............ Ted Marcus
Thomas Ian Griffith ..... Luke Potter
Tony Higgins .............. Andy White
Maceo Walker ............ Atticus Paul
I hope that helps! |

| Your best bet is to check once every week at ebay. Eventually, everything comes on sale there. |

Boy do I love In the heat of the night. I still record it daily on WGN although I have the entire series on dvd. Carol O'Connor(Bill Gillespie) was the master of one liners-I crack up every time he used his wit especially on Parker. I was in Heaven when Denise Nicholas(Harriet Delong) became a cast regular.Loved Bill & Harriet's relationship. Although it was adversarial you could tell they were hot for each other.Although a racist in his earlier years, Bill Gillespie literally fell for a black woman |

| Carol O'Connor was a terrific actor. I think I once heard that he was an English teacher before becoming an actor. As Archie Bunker he played a biggot that didn't offend people. I think that was because he was biggoted against everyone equally so you couldn't take offense, you almost felt sorry for Archie for his ignorance. |
