Of course, most soaps are dramas. We simply added a Soap thread so that our visitors that are interested in the more traditional daytime dramas have their own thread.
Your mom was right in that Dallas along with Dynasty, Knot's Landing, Melrose Place, and others were often referred to as Primetime Soaps.
For anyone wishing to talk about Dallas, please use our main Dallas Thread.
