Los Angeles detectives have reopened the nearly 30-year-old case of actress Natalie Wood's death.
Wood and her husband Robert Wagner ("Hart to Hart") were partying on their yacht with actor Christopher Walken when Wood showed up missing and was subsequently found drowned.
Wood's sister Lana stated that Natalie had been drinking too much that evening. Speculation at the time was that Wood was trying to get into the yacht's dingy and hit her head on it as she stumbled into the water.
The case was re-opened after the yacht's Captain recently made comments for a joint project between Vanity Fair magazine and CBS's "48 Hours Mystery. It's rumored that other witnesses may also have come forward with new information.
L.A. detectives are not elaborating on what the Captain said that caused them to re-open the case at this time. |
