It sounds most like "Get Smart". There were two Get Smart series, a 1965-1970 series and a 1995 series.
I suspect though that what you're referring to is "Columbo". That series aired irregularly (not weekly) over many years from its premiere in 1968 to its final special in 2002.
Columbo appeared to be an inept bumbler throughout the show until the very end of an episode when he revealed how he had properly deduced who the murderer was. A whole bunch of Columbo episodes and movies are available on Netflix. |
