"Camp Wilder" premiered on ABC. "The Golden Palace" and "Picket Fences" on CBS. NBC premiered "Final Appeal" and "The Round Table".

There have been quite a few TV series that premiered on September 19th in years past:

20 years ago today: "The Amazing Live Sea Monkeys" on CBS and "The Plucky Duck Show" on Fox.

50 years ago today: "The Virginian" becomes the first 90 minute Western serie in history on NBC.

60 years ago today: "The Adventures of Superman" premiered in syndication and ran for six seasons!

10 years ago in 2002: "CSI Miami" aired its first regular episode. The pilot was brodcast 4 months earlier on May 5th.

20 years ago in 1992: "Mad About You" premiered on NBC.

50 years ago 1962: "The Jetsons" premiered on ABC and became that network's first series to be broadcast solely in color! "The Flintstones" had the first episode in color on ABC but that began in its third season and that episode only beat the Jetsons premiere by 9 days.

20 years ago in 1992: "Rhythm & Blues" premiered on NBC, "Street Stories with Ed Bradley" premiered on CBS. The movie "Star Wars" became the first thing broadcast on the brand new Sci-Fi channel now named SyFy.

30 years ago in 1982: "Bring 'Em Back Alive" debuted on CBS.
