Academy Award and three time Emmy-winning actress Dame Helen Mirren told the Daily Star, "I would like to play the new female Doctor Who."
Kylie Minogue, Billy Piper and Amy Pond have had starring roles on the hit BBC sci-fi series as women sent to help the Doctor on his quest to save the Universe but Dame Helen added, "I don't just want to be his [the Doctor's] sidekick."
Can the BBC possibly ignore her desire to be the first female Doctor? |
