If you thought it seemed like "Tudors" star Jonathan Rhys Meyers found it just a bit too easy to play the role as King Henry VIII who often got mean when people didn't do as he pleased, there might be some reason for it.
Meyers was found guilty yesterday of threatening to kill three French police officers after they arrested him. It all began when he cursed at a bartender at a bar in the Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris in 2009 for refusing to serve him a drink. He ultimately hit the bartender and police were called. Meyers had apparently already had several drinks before being denied another.
When police arrived he yelled at them, "I'm going to give a million dollars to ruin your life. I'll kill you and your family."
It seems to be a pretty serious offense to have only resulted in a suspended one month jail term and a fine of 1,000 Euros ($1,351). |
