Actor Ed Asner will guest star early in 2012 on the new "Hawaii Five-0" TV series. What makes this interesting is that Asner will be playing the same character that he played on the original series 36 years ago!
On that series he played a smuggler named August March who was brought to justice by Five-0. Now he will be reformed after serving three decades in prison and Five-0 will have the gall to approach him about helping them on a smuggling case!

| That's a pretty hot idea! Tying a character from almost 40 years ago into the remake series. It's refreshing to see that tv writers can occasionally come up with a new idea! |
