this show was from the late 70's or eatly 80's
It was a 60 minute show.
I can't remember the title and it was not on tv long.
An agent or spy was recovered by an american angency with his memory
erased or brainwashed and had an invisible tattoo on his back of a plan
or formula or some sort of secret that could only be seen with a special light.(that was the pilot of the series)
He nerver recovered his own memory but could be implanted any skill
or knowledge via a computer, even over the phone.
In one eposide he learned to drive a race car over the phone.
anyone ever seen this show?
Thanx in advance |

| I've pondered on this one awhile now, and "I got nothing" - particularly for the specifc era you mention. Sounds a little like "John Doe" from a few years ago (2003, I think?). But the "programmable" skills element is really strange. Do you have anything else you can share about the show? It's going to take research, as I don't remember the show at all. |

Sounds like an interesting TV show but unfortunately I cannot shed light on that show but it seems worth watching. |

I think this is it!

I got lucky while researching The Six Million Dollar Man, and came upon this title. The concept was originally a "backdoor" pilot episode of that series. That pilot never went to series. This trailer is from a second attempt to make it work.
Please tell me that this is the show!

I don't remember seeing The Ultimate Imposter. That's a surprise as I had a really huge crush on Erin Gray. It's hard to believe that I would have missed anything with her in it.
According to the internet movie database, it aired as a 97 minute TV movie on May 12, 1979 on CBS.
The original pilot for the series aired on January 2, 1977 as the Six Million Dollar Man episode titled, "The Ultimate Imposter" and had totally different actors than the movie / second pilot. Interestingly, Pamela Hensley co-starred on that episode. Pamela played Princess Ardala alongside Erin Gray as Colonel Wilma Deering on the series, "Buck Rogers in the 25th Century".
It's a shame that they made two pilots and still couldn't get it on the air! |
