| What about "Topper" in the 50's? Sun Jan 21, 2007 7:21 pm |

Does anybody remember "Topper" (the TV Show with Jan Sterling and others I can't name)?
This was similar to the movie with the same man playing "Topper" but the couple died in a skiing accident/avalanche and there was a big dog with a keg around his neck??? |

The Topper TV show starred Leo G. Carroll as Cosmo Topper who could see ghosts that no one else could see. It also starred Robert Sterling as George Kerby and Anne Jeffreys as Marion Kerby. Topper ran for 20 episodes during the 1954-1955 season.
Robert Sterling and Anne Jeffreys were not only married on the show, they were also married in real life.
Topper got an Emmy nomination in 1954 for "Best Situation Comedy".
The series is also sometimes referred to as "The Adventures of Topper" and was loosely based on the 1937 movie of the same name starring Cary Grant as Topper. |
