Can any one help?
Here is what I remember..........
It was about a superhero, who had 3 pills to take to get his powers.
I think he had a sidekick (scientist I think) who carried the 3 pills.
thanks

That was a comedy series with a sci-fi twist called, "Mr. Terrific".
It was about a wimpy gas station attendant who was convinced to try out a "power pill" that had been developed by a government agency. The pill actually had made several powerfull men ill when the G-men tried it on them but it worked on the attendant, transforming him into a super powerfull hero who could fly and could not be harmed.
There was a pilot episode (I don't know whether it aired or not), 17 regular episodes (in 1967), and for some reason, they made a TV movie from footage of 4 of the episodes.

I have been trying to think of the name of that show for years! I did remember about the pills, and the cool closeups of his face changing when he took one. He added some funny sounds when he took em too. I did recall his sidekick mechanic friends name was Hal. Thank you, now I can move on to the next hazy TV memory from the 60s

Another show, Captain Nice, was on about the same time and starred William Daniels (the voice of Knight Rider's KITT) as a superhero that lived with his mother (none other than Alice Ghostley). He would drink a special concoction and turn into a flying super geek and crash into walls. It was very funny. |

There was a series where the main character could turn into any animal he wished. Maybe you're thinking of "Manimal"?
Check out our Manimal TV show page or our Manimal forum. |

| Mr. Terrific sounds a bit like a human version of Underdog. The wimpy shoeshine boy turning into the "dog of steel"! |
