| Obscure but heartfelt request for help locating an old show Fri Jan 11, 2008 5:05 am |

Dear Fellow TV Crazies,
OK, I really only joined because I am obsessed finding this one show. When I was little there was a very low production TV show on a local TV station in Los Angeles called (I think) "The Gentle Giant." This is mid-1960's. As I recall, the curtains would open and two giant hands would appear. Pretty piano music would play. Very slow, ethereal. It was shot on black and white video. I'm fairly sure it was on KCET, Channel 28. Searched for hours tonight, no luck. Any hope? No listings anywhere. Thank you.
Gratefully,

I can't find anything about it either. If it was in the mid-'60s AND low production, it was probably a locally produced program.
Anyone out there who lived in LA in the mid-'60s and has a really good memory? |

Hi,
I remember watching that show.
It was called "The Friendly Giant"
It was a Canadian Show.
Yes, I remember his hand coming down and arranging chairs.
With one chair for "two to cuddle up in"
There was a rooster named Rusty, that came out of a bag on the wall and
a giraffe named Jerome, that came to the window.
I still remember the theme song played on a flute.
Here's a link..
