Looking for an 80's show called Star of the Family. Stared Brain Dennehy,
Kathy Maisnik and Michael Dudikoff. |

"Star of the Family" was one of those rare musical comedy series similar to "The Partridge Family". It only lasted from September of 1982 through December of the same year. I'm not sure about the number of episodes.
Brain Dennehy played a fireman with a 16-year-old daughter whose country/pop singing talents got noticed and she began getting offers to perform professionally.
Dad wasn't overjoyed because he wanted his daughter to have a "normal" life but he also realized that her opportunity for musical stardom would probably never return again if he stopped her from "following her dream".
I don't recall seeing it but it sounds like the perfect role for Brain Dennehy! |
