I am looking for the name of a tv show from 81 or 82. I don't remember very much about it. There was a guy in it named Frog and he never smiled. I think it was a western set. Sorry I can't give you much more info than that. My 24 year old son was nickmaned Frog by his aunt because of this show so it is important to find it. She is not available to answer the questions. So if anyone can help out thank you very much.   |

I believe that you are thinking of a series titled, "The Best of the West". Tracey Walter starred as a character named "Frog". It aired from September of 1981 through June of 1982.
There were a total of 22 episodes on ABC - 30 minutes per episode.
It was a comedy about a civil war veteran who moved his family out West and became the town Marshall.

I used to watch that show! The dad on the show was played by "Silver Spoons" dad Joel Higgins. The son was played by the young boy who used tobe on NBC's "Voyagers".
The family's last name was "Best" (y'know like James Best on "Dukes of Hazzard"?) That's why it's called "Best Of The West".
The funniest show I recall,they were going to hang a man for his crimes and the wooden bar across the top sags down in the middle when the hanging begins. |
