of a man running and doors slamming shut behind him. He is running through one "cell" to an another or something like that and as soon as he gets through the door slams....I can not remember anything else bt it was either sci-fi or mystery???

actually it sounds like the starting of get smart but not sure if that's what you thinking

Chase, as the Peppergirl stated, it may well be Get Smart - on that show, "Max: walked down a long corridor, & the doors behind him would close, but differently; one set woulkd swing closed, the others would slam down from top to bottom, one ste slid in from each side to the middle, & the doors had different looks to them & after the final door, he gets in a phone booth, dials a number, then he disappears down the phone booth !
