Series Description

Foundation is a Sci-fi series that premiered on Apple TV on September 24, 2021. It's about a mathematician named Hari Seldon who develops a theory of "psychohistory" which predicts that the Galactic Empire that has settled the entire Milky Way galaxy will fall into decay over the next 30,000 years! Seldon's theory promises to predict when certain events will occur that cause the decay. So Seldon establishes the "Foundation", a group of two sets of scientists at opposite ends of the galaxy who take steps to diminish the destruction of those events and hopefully reduce the time that the Empire spends in destruction.

Foundation Trivia

This Foundation TV show is based on three novels titled "Foundation", "Foundation and Empire" and "Second Foundation" published from 1951-1953 and written by Isaac Asimov. Those novels were based on articles published from 1942-1950. Then beginning in 1981 Asimov began writing more novels including two sequels, "Foundation's Edge" and "Foundation" and two prequels, "Prelude to Foundation" and "Forward the Foundation".
